Located less than a block from Platte Park, this duplex project replaced a functionally obsolete bungalow. Many of the bungalow’s materials were salvaged for this or other projects including the HVAC system, bricks, flagstone walkways and interior woodwork. The new building looks like a large single-family home with a brick façade extending down both sides and a narrower front elevation to help it fit with the many smaller homes in the area. This duplex is not just another stucco box built to maximize interior square footage, but it still boasts 2,650 square feet over three floors.
